The Gift that keeps on giving

Updated: Apr 21

How many times have you looked in a file, a record or a folder and found something you missed. The second look turns into a second chance. This particular week in Eastham in 2022 was flush with great photos. The weather, time of day and our interests had us in the right place at the right time. The tides were such that high tide during the day and low tide at sunset. Walking out on the sand flats was like walking on a runway to the sunset.

These photos were taken with an iPhone. Without any modification they look pretty good. But the cool thing about iPhones is Photoshop will use their native "Raw' files - HEIC, which stands for High Efficiency Image Format. What’s interesting is HEIC was created by the Moving Picture Experts Group or MPEG.  With all the acronyms out there, who knew?  In short, Photoshop and Lightroom can work with HEIC files like RAW files used by Canon and other cameras.

I have shared many shots from First Encounter Beach in Eastham. It’s our favorite beach on Cape Cod that we try to spend time at each year. The photo opportunities are great, second only to kicking back on the beach. See the Piacere website to see more images from Eastham and other spots.
